这不刚写完作业，妈妈就开始给我提问英语单词了，我皱着眉头，左思右想，也仅仅答对了几个，当然少不了一顿批评，哎，还要接着背单词。

直到有一天，我突然发现有好多单词有相似的拼写，我把它们放在一起，很快就能掌握他们的意思，我像发现了新大陆一样，把这件事告诉了妈妈，妈妈说只要背会就行，这让我有点泄气，还以为她会表扬我一番。不过我发现我掌握单词的速度还有准确率有着明显的.提高，妈妈也发现了我的进步，这让我得意了好久。哼，可恶的英语，我也找到了你的破绽。

在老师让我们对作业上的答案并让我们一个接一个地回答问题时，发生了一件十分好玩的事：

孟子轩在回答“ing.”这道问题时，也不知道他是紧张的原因，还是真的不会，居然把正确答案的in说成了of，让我们都快发狂了——他们组是气的，我们组是笑的。只见孟子轩被一群人围在中间，在他们组同学的质问下脸涨得通红，作为另一方的我们则为他们组所起的“内讧”而幸灾乐祸的鼓掌……场面一片混乱。

由于对方的失误，使我们斗志倍增、越战越勇，最终把胜利收入囊中。

这次英语课以我们组的胜利而告终，实在是太痛快了!
